Directors of the Company:
Johan
Schild –
Over 40 years experience in the maritime industry
dealing with shipping companies, agencies, stevedores,
brokers, salvage companies, freight forwarders, heavy
haulers, law firms, shipyards, repair facilities,
fabricators, offshore companies, barge and tugboat companies
and other maritime related companies. Johan holds a Dutch
Master Mariner license (all oceans, all ships), a Master in
Business from Tulane University in New Orleans, and
completed Doctoral Studies in International Business
including mergers and acquisitions at Nova University in
Fort Lauderdale. In addition to his broad maritime
experience, Johan is a business analyst/consultant and
possesses extensive knowledge in divestures,
acquisitions and mergers.
C. R. "Kip" Kane
–
entrepreneur has an extensive background in the
maritime field, real estate brokerage, appraisal and
ownership-development of numerous enterprises. Mr.
Kane is President of International Boat & Marine Auction
Services, Inc., International Resort & Marine Auction
Services, Inc., PGA, LLC and Auction Services, Inc. Mr.
Kane’s extensive background is in marketing maritime
entities utilizing auction marketing and or conventional
brokerage, maintaining RE Broker licenses in: AZ ,CA ,FL,NC,
SC, OK & GA. Kane graduated from Cornell University in
1964, receiving a BS degree in Business Administration.
Mike
Vaughn –
A maritime attorney involved in the sale and purchase
of vessels and other maritime transactions. Michael
graduated from the University of North Carolina School of
Law and has been a licensed attorney since 1971.
Presently he is a licensed attorney in the Sate of
California and has been predominantly involved in maritime
matters, including the sale and purchase of vessels and
other maritime assets, acquisitions and divestures of
maritime related businesses and other maritime matters such
as marine financing. Michael is the author of a number of
maritime books including “Preparing to sell your Maritime
Business” and “The Ship Acquisition and Sale Handbook”.
Leonard
Allen –
Leonard is a graduate of the University of South Alabama
with a degree in Business Administration. Before coming on
board with Maritime M.A.D. as a director and broker, Leonard
was a senior broker with a nationwide business brokerage for
many years. Leonard is an entrepreneur and founded , owned,
expanded and sold a number of businesses. He also owned a smoke and water
restoration consultancy for serving Alabama and the
panhandle of Florida and was affiliated with several marine
related businesses. His understanding and experience of
matching businesses and people is a valuable asset to the
maritime industry.
Eugene J.
McDonald –
Eugene has over 30 years experience in maritime law. He is a
seasoned litigator and has tried a broad spectrum of cases
ranging from the defense of personal injury claims to
recovery of collision damages.
Mr. McDonald has lectured at conferences and seminars on the
subject of maritime law and has authored various articles
for maritime trade and legal publications.
He received a B.A. Degree from St. John’s University, New
York and a J.D. from Franklin Pierce Law Center. He is a
member of the bars of New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and
Florida and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme
Court, U.S. Courts of Appeal for the Second and Third
Circuits, and the U.S. District Courts for the District of
New Jersey, Southern District of New York, Eastern District
of New York, Western District of Pennsylvania, and the
Northern District of Illinois. He is presently serving as an
arbitrator for the United States District Court for the
District of New Jersey having been certified and appointed
by former Chief District Judge John W. Bissell.
Mr. McDonald is a member of the New Jersey State Bar
Association and New Jersey State Bar Foundation Speakers
Bureau, the Florida Bar, the Monmouth County Bar
Association, the Maritime Law Association of the United
States, the Society of Naval Architects & Marine Engineers,
and the Marine and Insurance Claims Association.
Captain
John Cox – A seasoned maritime entrepreneur with
a broad knowledge of the maritime and maritime related
industries, especially in the cruise, Ro-Ro passengers,
ferry and port sectors, including marine terminals and
facilities. Captain Cox is presently a senior partner of The
Maritime Group, a worldwide marine consulting group and
previously held several positions as senior vice president
for large cruise vessel operators. Cox is a California
Maritime Graduate and holds a US Coast Guard license as
Master, Ocean going, Steam and Motor vessels. He served as a
Lieutenant in the US Navy and as a Deck Officer and Master
on a passenger, cargo and research vessels.
Job Lazar – has over 20 years experience in real estate, business transactions, acquisitions, joint ventures and divestures, as well as construction, permitting and land use issues. Mr. Lazar has demonstrated his ability to be a very effective medium in negotiations between buyers and sellers through the thousands of transactions he has conducted as a real estate broker and attorney. Mr. Lazar’s law degree and MBA in finance further assist parties to transactions in dealing with the legal and financial complications that may arise.
Mr. Lazar has a history of good communications and negotiations with both the Army Corp of Engineers and other maritime authorities on behalf of clients in the fields of design, permitting and other requirements to complete water based projects.
